Privacy policy
wwwatch compiles the listings that pre-owned watch shops publish on their websites. You do not need to register to use this site, and we do not ask you for your name, email address or similar details. Below is what data this site handles, how it is used, and what you can do.

What data is collected
- Browsing and usage records
- Through Google Analytics: which pages you view, which URL you came from, what you do on the site (which shop's link you click, adding favorites, filters, site search terms, opening condition explanations and so on), your browser and device type, your approximate region (estimated by Google from your IP address), and an identifier (cookie) that Google stores in your browser. Before a site search term is sent, anything that looks like an email address, phone number or ID number is replaced.
- Settings stored only in your browser
- Language, your location and the markets to show, theme, favorites, filter preferences, and whether you have read the usage notice. These are stored in your browser (cookies and local storage) and are not sent to us; favorites also stay only in your own browser.
- Country
- When you arrive from wwwatch.app, the site host Cloudflare works out your country from the IP address of your connection, to decide which market's prices to show by default, and the result is kept in a cookie in your browser. We do not keep IP addresses.
- Connection information
- To deliver pages to your browser, the site host Cloudflare handles connection information such as your IP address and browser type, and keeps logs for a short time under its own policy.
- Emails
- The email address and the content of the message when you write to us.
Purposes of use
- To understand how the site is used and improve its content and features.
- To prepare traffic statistics for listed shops (aggregate figures only, with nothing that identifies a person).
- To reply to emails and handle your requests.
- To keep the site running and secure.
We do not sell data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Period, region, recipients and method of use
- Period
- Detailed Google Analytics data is deleted after at most 14 months under its retention setting; aggregate statistics that cannot identify a person are kept. Emails are kept for 1 year after they are dealt with.
- Region
- Taiwan, and the locations of the servers of Google (the United States and elsewhere) and Cloudflare (worldwide).
- Recipients
- The operator; Google LLC (analytics) and Cloudflare, Inc. (site host) process data on our behalf. Listed shops only receive aggregate traffic figures.
- Method
- Processed and tallied by computer.
Your rights and how to exercise them
Under Article 3 of Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, you may ask us, about the personal data we hold about you, to:
- Let you know or let you inspect it
- Give you a copy
- Add to it or correct it
- Stop collecting, processing or using it
- Delete it
Email contact@wwwatch.app to make a request; there is no charge. We will reply within 15 days of receiving it; if we need more time we will tell you why within that period and may extend by up to another 15 days. Google Analytics data does not contain names or contact details, so we cannot find a particular person in it; if you do not want to be analyzed, use "Stop sending analytics data" below.
If you do not provide data
This site does not ask you to provide personal data. You can browse normally if you stop analytics data being sent or turn off cookies in your browser; settings such as language and location may just not be remembered.

The connection information that the site host Cloudflare handles in order to deliver pages is necessary to provide the site itself and is not listed separately.
Security
- Only the operator can access the analytics data and the mailbox, and two-step verification is turned on for every account.
- The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) throughout.
- If personal data is leaked, we notify the people concerned and the competent authority as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update this page and write the date of the change.
